April 5, 2020 Community Organizations To Assist MCSS Families

  • The Madison County School System has served more than 16,000 meals over the last three weeks! In addition, food and other resources from churches and community organizations have been distributed across the county to families in need. Thank you CNP staff, volunteers, churches, and community organizations. Together, we are making it through this difficult time!

As you are aware, Governor Kay Ivy has issued a Stay at Home order. As a result, the MCSS has suspended the current feeding program and transitioned to Phase III of our feeding plan. In this phase, local churches and community organizations will provide support to MCSS families who are in need. If you are in need of food or other essential resources please call 211, view the list below, or visit our website to obtain contact information for local organizations that may be able to help.

The Boys & Girls Club is partnering with Grace Family Worship Center to offer evening meal pick-up.
This program will begin on Monday, May 4, every Monday - Friday running through the end of July. They will have meals provided for any child that is in need. The meals will be delivered to the church parking lot and they will be available for pick up from 5pm-6pm.
The meals are free and will be individually bagged. Cars will drive into our parking lot, tell them how many meals they need and they will hand them their bags. We will start with 100 meals and increase if needed.

    Location: Grace Family Worship Center
