Developmental Preschool

We offer Developmental PreK-4 at the following elementary schools:

• Hazel Green
• Legacy
• Mt. Carmel
• New Hope
• Riverton

We offer Developmental PreK3 at the following elementary schools:

• Endeavor 
• Hazel Green
• Madison County
   

Pre-K Four Registration:

• Registration opens January 15
• Students must meet the eligibility criteria —
  • 4 years of age on or before September 1, not yet 5 years of age
  • Custodial parent resides in a Madison County school zone
  • All required documentation must be submitted

Pre-K Three Registration:

• Registration opens January 15
• Students must meet the eligibility criteria —
  • 3 years of age on or before September 1, not yet 4 years of age
  • Custodial parent resides in a Madison County school zone
  • All required documentation must be submitted

To secure a spot in the program, the following documents must be submitted to the school:

• Age Verification Documentation: Birth Certificate
• Certificate of Immunization or Exemption Documentation
• Custodial Parent’s Photo Identification
• Updated Custody Documentation (if applicable)
• Proof of Residence: Current HSV Utility Bill AND one of the following:
  • Property Tax Statement
  • Deed, Rental/Lease Agreement, or Mortgage Statement

Final acceptance into the Madison County Schools’ Developmental Pre-K program is contingent upon receipt of all required documentation. 

NOTE: Registration is not complete until all required documents are on file at the local school.  Children will not be offered a position until all documents are received and verified.

If you are moving to the Madison County School System from another school, in or out of state, and your child already has an IEP, you must register as a new student through PowerSchool Enrollment, and check the box that states your child has an IEP. This will alert the Special Education Department and ensure your child has a smooth transition into our school system.
