ACCESS Virtual Learning
ACCESS Distance and Blended Learning was initiated by the state of Alabama in order to provide equitable access to high-quality instruction and to improve student achievement through distant learning opportunities. Students may take advantage of ACCESS courses when there is a scheduling conflict, when requesting a course not offered at the school, when making up a missed credit or when improving technology skills. Courses are offered online and are facilitated by an Alabama certified, highly qualified teacher. Students attend class at their local school, generally in a computer lab.

Taking an ACCESS course requires commitment on behalf of the student to stay up with the class and to complete work on time. Careful consideration should be made before requesting an ACCESS course.
