Vendors must register with the Purchasing Office in order to receive solicitations to bid. To register, please send a letter on your company letter head detailing the products and/or services your company provides and also reference the appropriate Commodity Class/Subclass Code that is used by the State of Alabama. These codes may be obtained from the web address: http://www.purchasing.alabama.gov/pages/comm_lists/list2.aspx#240 . Be sure to include all addresses, points of contact, phone numbers and, if applicable, email addresses where you would want solicitations to be sent to.

Tips on doing business with the Madison County Schools
1. Be sure your company’s name is on the bid list with the correct class/sub-classes. Keep your application current with any changes.
2. Read the bid documents thoroughly and follow all instructions, terms, and conditions. Failure to do so will be at the bidder’s risk.
3. Be sure bid is submitted on or before the receive date and time. Be sure the envelope shows the bid number and opening date.
4. Attend bid openings to see what the competition is doing. Bid results are not given over the phone. Bid documentation from bids are available for viewing by appointment only. Bid results are only released after the board vote.
