Department Overview

Education Technology in Madison County Schools is a collaboration between the Information & Technology Department and the STEM Specialist with support from our Digital Learning Partners. The STEM Specialist coordinates the implementation of Alabama's Digital Literacy and Computer Science Course of Study, which was developed to be integrated in every classroom by every teacher. The Digital Learning Partners are school-based educators that have demonstrated proficiency in assisting educators to effectively integrate educational technology into the classroom. The Digital Learning Partners carry a regular teaching load, but are provided time and flexibility during the school day to provide coaching, professional learning, and other instructional assistance to all teachers and administrators in the school.
