Department: Band/Instrumental Music

Bio:  Patrick Harper (b. 1977) is a music educator and composer of instrumental music for various ensembles. His compositions have been performed by schools, college ensembles, military service bands, and community groups all over the world. He has composed professionally for multimedia applications, promotional videos, and video games. He currently holds the title of "Director of Bands" at Hazel Green High School, where he has been employed since 2003. During this time, his bands have consistently earned superior ratings at marching band competitions and Alabama State MPA. He holds bachelors and masters degrees in music education from the University of North Alabama and has over 20 years of teaching experience. He teaches the following classes at Hazel Green High School: Marching Band, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, and Instrumental Music.
