Coach Brewer is originally from Florence, Alabama. After graduating from high school, Coach Brewer attended Calhoun Community College on a Baseball Scholarship. Once Coach Brewer's playing career was over, he graduated with a B.S. in Mathematics with a minor in Business Administration from Athens State University. Coach Brewer has also received an M.S. degree in Mathematics from Arkansas State University as well as an M.A. in Mathematics Education from The University of North Alabama. 

Coach Brewer is married to former Shandi Durham of Hazel Green, Alabama and has 2 beautiful boys, Jaxton and Jagger.
