Nancy Gattis

Mrs. Gattis is from, and lives in, Scottsboro, AL. After graduating from Scottsboro High School in 2008, Mrs. Gattis attended the University of Alabama and earned a bachelor of Arts Degree in history with a minor in English. Mrs. Gattis then began to pursue a master’s degree while at the University of Alabama, however after the tornadoes of 2011, she transferred to the University of Alabama in Huntsville.  Mrs Gattis graduated with a Master of Arts in history with an education certification in December of 2012.
Mrs. Gattis enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading a good mystery novel, and finding a great series to binge watch on TV. Mrs. Gattis teaches 11th and 12th grade English classes at Sparkman High School.  In the past Mrs. Gattis has taught 7th-12th grade history courses, 7th and 8th grade English courses, and computer courses.  Previously, Mrs. Gattis has taught at Scottsboro Junior High School, and Fort Payne High School.  While at Fort payne, Mrs. Gattis taught dual enrollment U.S. History courses.
Mrs. Gattis is excited to be a part of the SHS faculty/staff. Go Senators!
