Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year! My name is Yolanda Leonard, and I am super excited about a new begining at Buckhorn High School! Although there are many changes and unknowns, due to COVID-19, I am still looking forward to the opportunity to getting to know you all, and having a productive year!

I am a native Huntsville, AL., and as a student, I matriculated through the Huntsville City School System, and graduated from James Oliver Johnson High School. I earned my Bachelor's Degree from Alabama A&M University, and my Master's Degree from Grand Canyon University.

2020-2021 school year will be my eighteenth year serving as a collaborative teacher. As a collaborative teacher, I specialize in providing individualized instruction for all learners, through collaboration with core curriculum teachers. I began my career in the Huntsville City Schools System, where I served for eleven years, and this school year will be my seventh year serving in the Madison County School district.

Outside of the school setting, I am a wife, and a mother of four children. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and selling houses.
