Dr. Mark Minskey
Dr. Mark Minskey started his career in education in 1992. After graduating with his bachelor's in Elementary Education from West Chester University, he taught both second and fifth-grade students, as well as worked as a special education teacher. He holds a Master's Degree in School Administration and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.
His administration background includes high school assistant principal (Garner High School, Garner, NC), elementary assistant principal (Carolina Beach Elementary School, Carolina Beach, NC), PreK-5 Principal (Malpass Corner Elementary School, Burgaw, NC), 6-8 Principal (Cape Fear Middle School, Rocky Point, NC), and PreK-8 Principal (New Market School, New Market, AL). Mark currently works as the Chief Operations Officer for the Madison County School System in Huntsville, AL.
As principal of New Market School, Mark and his staff earned the Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence Lighthouse Award in 2012. He has been married to Amy Minskey for the past 12 years and has two wonderful children: Avery and Aiden. Mark has been a Senior Assessor with Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence since 2012.
