HUNTSVILLE, Alabama – Madison County Schools (MCSS) announced that the district has earned an A on the 2025 Alabama State Department of Education Accountability Report Card, achieving the highest numeric score in district history.
These results reflect strong academic performance, steady student growth, and the district’s ongoing commitment to providing high-quality education to families across Madison County and the greater Huntsville region.
Evaluation Criteria
Each year, the Alabama State Report Card evaluates school district performance across several key indicators of student success:
-
Academic Achievement: Measuring student performance on state assessments.
-
Academic Growth: Measuring year-to-year improvement.
-
Graduation Rate: Reflecting the percentage of students completing high school on time.
-
College and Career Readiness (CCR): Indicating student preparation for life after graduation.
Together, these indicators produce the district’s final numeric score and letter grade, providing families with a transparent view of school performance.
